I only wear contacts occasionally or on days when i have the time and feel like dolling up. Which is why, I've been looking for quarter monthly (3-months) lenses that are comfortable yet affordable. Monthly (1-month) lenses are a NO-NO for me, they are just too costly because I usually throw them out after only 5-6 wears.
If you're Malaysian, you'd know how expensive lenses can cost in optical stores, and quarter monthly (3-months) lenses are usually those super huge alien dolly eye circle lenses such as Blinkon or Geolica by GEO Medical that can cost quite a lot. Plus, they always have this buy 2 free 1 promo that forces you to buy 3 boxes instead, like, who the heck has both eyes of the same power right?? Which is why I have not tried them both. Blinkon to me, do not look comfortable at all, GEO might be, because I've tried GEO circle lenses (not the Geolica range) and it was okay. Not as comfortable as I would like it to be, as the lens can be quite tough and very drying after 5-6 hrs wear.
And if you read my blog, I've talked about the RainbowColor Storm Grey lens by Tokyoninki which was one of my favorite lenses (if you have not, read here). I still think the design and pattern is pretty cool. Sadly, i think they have stopped production, and I can't get it in the powers I want anymore. They DO have a new range of lenses, but the designs are not to my liking. So, I have to move on.
That was almost a year ago.
So now, I want to share with you guys, what I've been wearing these days - NEO COSMO quarterly lenses! ( Check out the designs at NeoCosmo Malaysia's official website link here)
I've been wearing these NeoCosmo lenses for 9+ months now, and I can't describe to you how much I FREAKKIN LOVE it! I'm actually on my third pair now - the Neo Cosmo Cerulean Blue lenses. My last 2 pairs were Neo Cosmo's Winter Grey which I TOTALLY LOVED!! more than the current Cerulean Blue I have now actually. To know why, scroll to the bottom to read the review of both lenses!
I bought mine from Glassesonline (Link here) and it cost me RM85 for 2 pairs after discount. Normal price would be RM110 for 2 pairs, and if you register with them, you'd get RM10 off plus it provides free shipping nationwide.
For me, that's RM85 for half a year's wear! super cheap!

As you can see, both lenses are pretty similar from afar and under natural sunlight, the only difference are:
- Winter Grey has a warmer (greenish) tone compared to the Cerulean Blue.
- Winter Grey is also very much lighter compared to the Cerulean Blue (Although you can't really see it in these photos).
- Winter Grey looks more natural up close compared to Cerulean Blue because of its design and colour. The Cerulean Blue carries a deep baby blue/ turquoise-ish colour which doesn't really look good on Asians.
Verdict for NeoCosmo Winter Grey:
Colour: ❤❤❤❤❤ 5/5 - Natural yet noticeable warm grey.
Enlargement: ❤❤❤♡♡ 3/5 - Very very slight enlargement, but it's there. LOVE IT!
Design: ❤❤❤❤❤ 5/5 - Very very natural, reminds me of freshlook colorblends.
Comfort: ❤❤❤❤❤❤ 6/5 - 10+ hours with no discomfort at all, feels like freshlook colorblend monthly lenses! so soft! Absolutely Amazeeed!
Overall: ❤❤❤❤❤ 5/5 - Super NATURAL grey lens if you like just a hint of colour to your eyes.
Repurchase: Buy BUY BUY! MOST DEFINITELY!
Verdict for NeoCosmo Cerulean Blue:
Colour: ❤❤♡♡♡ 5/5 - Not as natural upclose, looks a little like freshlook colourblends in turquoise, from far you won't notice the blue at all.
Enlargement: ❤❤❤♡♡ 3/5 - Very very slight enlargement, but it's there. LOVE IT!
Design: ❤❤♡♡♡ 2/5 - Not as natural, patterns are like little starburst lines.
Comfort: ❤❤❤❤❤ 5/5 - 10+ hours with no discomfort at all, feels like freshlook colorblend monthly lenses! so soft! Absolutely Amazeeed!
Overall: ❤❤♡♡♡ 2/5 - Just because I like the Winter Greys much better.
Repurchase: Nah, I'll get the Winter Greys. :)
